India is a powerhouse of Agriculture and this powerhouse is being looked at globally as the future for feeding the world. But to achieve this the manpower has to be equipped both with traditional as well as modern concepts. India has witnessed the growth of some innovative Agri-startups which have been successful in linking farmers to the market, intervening in supply chains, bringing sustainable infrastructure, and bringing technology to agriculture.
Most of the Agro-industry focuses on Mechanization (first M) and Materials (second M) but little has been done on reviving the third M ie Manpower. But that is the need of the hour as the future growth of Indian agriculture appears to be growing with an upward graph that is backed by technological advancements and government initiatives. For achieving this, a large number of skilled manpower is needed to carry forward these technologies, product knowledge, and technical know-how to the farmers.
Acharyapuram evolved with the need to develop a common platform for academia, students, farmers, and corporates in the agriculture sector. We are pleased to present CORPORATE SETU as Acharyapuram ’s first flagship programme to address the issue of unemployment faced by agriculture graduates on the one hand and to provide the appropriate customised skilled manpower to the corporates on the other hand. Our customized skill training programs by experts, both from academia and corporates, not only equip students to be corporate-ready but also instil a sense of responsibility and a connection to the land and the environment.
